It works just as I thought it would. New computers don’t come with floppy access. We still use it for an Embroidery machine .

I have quite a few floppy disks and needed a way to retrive the information on them. After much thought and product comparison, I selected the Iomega. I plugged it into my computer and it was ready to go – no long downloads, no CD installation, just plug and go instantly. The unit is very compact, attractive, and appears well made. I didn’t have an internal floppy disc drive on my current computers but discoved I had a need for small, individual storage and I still had a bunch of floppies. I order this drive and it worked perfectly. Easy to install, just plug and play. Sometimes the old ways are still good.

This is a high quality USB Floppy Drive. I tried another less expensive brand and it failed to read/write to the disk. Our embroidery machine still uses a floppy disk drive, so I needed a drive to attach to my new computer that did not come with one. Easy plug and play with windows XP SP3. More current windows operating systems should be plug and play as well.

This item was helpful item. We had changed our computer and it didn’t have a floppy disc drive. This helped us to access information we had saved on a floppy disc.
