This a your standard issue webcam with no bells&whistles but does the job for basic videoconferencing, Skype, etc. What makes it stand out is that it is a Dalek! The detail work is pretty good, even the antennae light up when plugged in to the USB port. Nice touch. The clamp is secure enough but could be a bit better designed. Software is necessary to install for Windows recognition, but was simple enough.
All in all, it’s basic but fun, especially if you are a Doctor Who fan.

I was excited when I received the long awaited for package in the mail but after playing around with it for some time, I found it to be mildly disappointing. It was overall just a gimmick. It was not very durable, for after handling it I found that the Dalek fell off it’s stand and would not go back in. The program used to handle it as well was a low quality one that did not work well even with Windows XP. When I did get it to work, the image quality was very low. The hatch used to cover the webcam also is not made to go back very well. It’s fun at first but I found that I’m going to need a different webcam if I want good quality.

Not a toy really, I guess except for us geeks. Classic show piece Only thing that would be better if it said “exterminate” when you open the cam.
