Finally, a mouse that does what I want. This mouse has the usual right and left click buttons with a mouse wheel. This wheel not only rolls, it tilts right and left to act like two more buttons and can be pressed down to act like a third button. Then there are the two additional side buttons (e.g. forward and backward). It is called a five button mouse, but it is more like a seven button mouse. I have been unable to find another mouse that does all that this one does, and is reliable and easy to use. The only down side is it is an optical mouse, not a laser mouse, so it is not as precise in its movements as a laser mouse. But with a bit of care and patience, I can still make my one pixel tweaks on artwork.
Caution: this mouse will not perform well unless you get the Dell Mouse Suite software to drive it. The Mouse Suite software lets you configure the buttons to do what you want. I own three of these mice and use them on XP, Vista and Vista 64 bit operating systems without any problems. I found the (free) R140482.EXE Mouse Suite driver download at the Dell web site at:

This mouse is quite long. I had bought it originally for both gaming, and web surfing. This thing is HORRIBLE for gaming. the mouse is to long to be comfortable for FPS gaming. The side buttons are un-ideal as they are to distant from the palm rest throwing off accuracy, and button 4 and button 5. The only suitable reason I found it positive for gaming was because of the high response rate between the mouse and comp. I’d personaly prefer my older optics mouse that is less accurate and less responsive. Otherwise this works great for productivity. When ur not fragging on a game server you don’t have to worry so much about the funky length. Where as the extra features aren’t so incconvenient when not under pressure. But it’s still a pretty weird mouse. I’d give it three and a half, but there wasn’t any choice for it.

Sure this mouse has the extra foreward/back buttons and a sleek look. My problem is that it does not fit in my hand. Using it for more than 30 minutes gave me finger cramps and the extra buttons are not in a place that is easily reachable by my thumb. My complaints probably dont apply to those with giant hands, but this just didnt work for me.
Pros: Cheap, good looking, durable
Cons: Poor ergonomic design, too long and narrow, caused me discomfort after prolonged use.
3 stars because it is worth only 2 stars, but the price is very cheap.
I would skip this mouse in the future.
