Having now worked with Jack at Micca, I can say that I am thoroughly impressed with this company. I originally left a bad review, but Jack at Micca swapped out for a new unit at their expense and this one worked very well! I think the problem with the old was just a bad cable. The updated manual can now be downloaded from their website, and that helps a lot.

This is a great media player for the price. It plays a variety of media formats and has good picture quality. I haven’t had it for many days so I can’t comment on the reliability but so far it is working well. One problem is that when you first connect the player, the display will be in chinese. You just have to blindly navigate and choose options to change it to English. It would have been nice if they make English as default.

Excellent product, great value, solid construction, easy to use, very good image and sound quality via component video, plays most popular media formats. Sturdy, nicely designed remote. An affordable and desirable addition to any home entertainment system.

When I connected this player to my TV everything was in Chinese. I had to download the manual to figure out how to display English. Then I tried to play a movie with menus and there was no way to select an item from the menu so I returned it.
