Just a heads up: I ordered this from “dream bargains” and I didn’t receive the official “Apple” ipod cable, like the description says. It was a bootleg cable not made by Apple. It seems to work fine, but it you’re looking for the “official” Apple cable this isn’t it.

Yes, this is the original cable made my Apple in their pretty packaging. I am replacing a cable that this bad on a 1st generation iPod Nano. In case you are thinking you have a bad cable, the iPod wouldn’t charge, Windows didn’t know I plugged anything in and the Nano would reboot over and over. With this new cable, it works great.

The cable works just like the one I received when I purchased my Ipod. My original cable stopped sending information. The new cable transfers music quickly.

We checked with Seller/ChiTek before the purchase. Seller/ChiTek said ‘We got the item directly from Apple. All item is brand new and genuine.’ But it’s NOT! Cheap and NOT Work!

Apple Dock Connector to USB Cable for iPod (White)
Beware iPhone3GS owners. The product description says this cable will work with the iPhone, but I can tell you it will not work with the iPhone3GS. It does appear to be genuine OEM Apple. It appears to properly sync the iPhone3GS with iTunes, but it will not charge it. The iPhone screen displays “Charging is not supported with this accessory”. I think this cable was designed for earlier versions of the iPhone and iPods.
This appears to be offered by multiple sellers. I got mine from Zenith Mobile.
