Product Description
Enjoy the coolness of the Plasma Ball in a desk-sized USB-powered configuration. Simply plug in the USB Plasma Ball, flip the on/off switch, and enjoy! While the USB Mini Plasma Ball is plugged in and powered on, you can watch the colorful “rays” follow wherever your finger touches. The USB Mini Plasma Ball has to be one of the coolest USB toys around. Come on, a computer plasma ball? It doesn’t get much cooler than that in the world of USB gadgets!

It’s exactly what it says it is — a miniaturized plasma ball. It’s a neat little item. If you have a spare usb hub and like to clutter your desk with useless distractions, this is the perfect thing. I had a full=sized one years ago, and I used to love poking a finger to the glass. Now I can relive that utterly time-wasting activity at my desk when I’m supposed to be working. It also has a handy on/ off switch in the base, so no need to unplug.
The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that it looks much better in a darkened room, meaning it’s not ideal as an office toy. Cool for the kids room or home office. I say four and a half stars.

I gave this item a five star review because I am using it at home in a room where it is fairly visible. It works just like the larger balls where you can touch it and have lightening bolts join your finger tips. I remember when these were over a hundred dollars to buy and I really enjoy having an inexpensive one. Like the other review says, it just plugs into an available USB port. The computer does not recognize it as a device so there are no issues with it and your computer. I use it to remind me that my computer is on.
